[Town Name]
Premise
Magic used to live among the people. It was as vital as the flame. It powered civilizations and brought others to their knees. It provided protection from the wilderness where monsters roamed free waiting for the next unsuspecting meal.

And then... the world seemed to forget about magic. Entire kingdoms vanished without notice from neighboring villages. Time continued on without them. Only those who remembered passed down the stories from generation to generation until their retellings were nothing more than fairy tales read to children for bedtime stories.

Despite the wistful longing for magic, it has prevailed through time to the 21st century. Pop culture has shaped it, built it up and torn it down, but never really embraced it. Unicorns ridden into battle have been stripped of their valour and replaced with pastel versions of themselves that fart glitter.
It is hard to call [Town Name] a sleepy town with its bustling town center and avid tourism. Boasting one of the top ten wedding venues on the eastern seaboard, the town is rarely in need of cash flow. During the prime tourism season, people from all over the world flock to its rocky beaches to collect stones shaped like hearts and eat lobster so fresh it should be criminal.

With the town sitting roughly 35 miles from Boston, it takes less than an hour to get to the city or back home. Plenty of the town's residents find comfort after a long day in the escape that [Town Name] provides.

There's nothing altogether unusual about it. Which is why the town hasn't gone out of its way to publicize the deaths of many on Long Beach. Or the hikers that went missing in the forest out by Bea Rafferty's place. The grandmothers' knitting circle warns the teens that congregate on Circle Beach to not stay out too late -- and to avoid the tide.
The dreams have always been there. The faces fade into obscurity upon awakening, but they've never felt wrong or out of place. Recently, however, they've been lingering longer. The details are so rich they feel like memories. You start to wonder if they are. There are things you start to miss -- things you couldn't miss because you've never done them -- like the weight of a sword in your hand or the way magic makes you feel powerful. But magic isn't real.

As you wander through the town at dusk, you notice the happy town of [Town Name] feels a little more ominous than comforting. The shadows pull at your sanity until you're sure you've seen a lithe young woman with razor sharp teeth resting in wait by the shallows of the dock. A nearby adult warns a group of rowdy children not to go in the water if they can't swim. You close your eyes and open them again to see nothing but the charming glow of the sun setting on the water.
This game is set in a fictional town in northeastern Massachusetts. It plans to explore reincarnation, supernatural beings, magic, death, and human nature throughout gameplay as the lost kingdoms make a reappearance in 2020. Players can choose to play reincarnated beings as they reconcile their past with their present, humans who have no idea magic is all around them, or monsters who can choose to rise above their circumstances or thrive in the darkness. As the plot unfolds, it will become clear that those who were lost disappeared for a reason and it's up to players to figure out why -- before it happens again.
